Learning how a good coffee spot works.
Practical training to become a coffee operator
The Academy was developed by Beautiful People in collaboration with Stichting BOOR. Participants learn to operate, fill, clean and maintain professional coffee machines. On completing the training, they receive a certificate.
What participants learn
- Operate the machine and refill ingredients.
- Carry out daily and weekly cleaning.
- Carry out daily checks and recognise irregularities.
- Recognise simple notifications and call in the right help.
- Work safely and hygienically and keep the coffee area tidy.
Clear guidance, even after training
Hands-on training is supported by short instruction videos, clear images and step-by-step explanations. The online learning environment can be used on computer, tablet and smartphone.
The training is intended for people distanced from the labour market who, with suitable support, can work as coffee operators. Staff who manage the coffee service can also use the instructions. Guidance and any refresher instructions are tailored to the participants.
